Returned to Europe in 2015 and discovered permaculture whilst researching Rocket Mass Heaters. Began transforming what was an ornamental garden (with some perennial edibles) into an edible garden (with some ornamentals), using permaculture techniques. Totally bitten by the bug, 2018 saw me successfully complete Geoff Lawton's Online PDC after a year of following what was a really well conceived and delivered Course. It totally exceeded my expectations and I am indebted to Geoff, for putting it out there, and the team of Teaching Assistants that supported me and my fellow students. Sounds corny, but the experience has changed my life.
Permaculture has turned my life and garden around. It has replaced frustration and resignation at world order, with action and hope for the future. Ultimately I want to play a part in making it easier for those living in my area, to access permaculture knowledge and build a permaculture community. Projects I'm working on are developing a local Organic Buying Club; setting up LETS scheme; and creating a Permaculture Association. In the winter, I dont move far from the Rocket Mass Heater, the rest of the year, you can find me in the garden, grazing.
