My name in Reyhaneh, and the meaning of my name in farsi is Basil. So basically I`m already and naturally connected to plantation and aroma feelings of herbs and plants. I`ve studied Tourism Management and attend some workshops about ecology, ecotourism, water crisis, organic farming and … Ali, my Husband, has studied in commercial management but he`s an environmental activist and environmental art director. He`s the head of Art-Based Education group of Iranian Cheetah Society and has worked for 6 years as a facilitator with locals about wildlife conservation. Me and my husband has been thinking, researching, working and self-studying for years about a way of living and being a small positive change in our country and nature.
The result we come up with, is to live a life through permaculture principals and also promote EcoFarmTourism in Iran to make it possible for others to access a different and harmonic way of living in this planet.
To claim our vision, we constitute an institution named Barzigardi; PermacultureFarmTourism to promote sustainability in our region, country and climate.
Recently we`ve moved to Langarud county, Ali`s hometown and living in a village. We are running a farmhouse for Barzigardi center, "Dasbagh EcoFarmstay" which has a 100 years old farmhouse and we are reconstruct it at the moment. We also have an old tea farm and orchard and we are designing our permaculture garden in through those.
We are also accepting limited number of volunteers before we officially open up.
