My professional background is as a Physiotherapist, with a long standing interest in patterns, movement, nutrient dense foods, personal responsibility, and a great concern for the increasing sedentary nature of western humanity.
Now a mother of 3, home educating the next generation of strong ethical permies I aim to bring permaculture to the urban coastal context of an increasingly affluent suburb (of which my children are 5th generation) and am exploring ways that I might make the most of all my skills in an integrated manner.
A fortunate family history of owning and caring for productive land and the opportunity to spend much of my childhood playing in creeks and helping grow/sell food informs my interest now in bringing and developing urban permaculture to my home - the Henley Beach area, where I have been involved in several initiatives including now Transition Adelaide West.
current activities: permaculture on a sandhill, home education, Transition, establishing Henley Community Garden, permablitzes,
In the pipeline: playgrounds as food forests
