Hello there!

I am a 22 year old student from Minnesota getting my undergraduate degree from Winona State in Environmental Science - Biology and minoring in Philosophy and Studio Art. I grew up in a small farming community, Plainview, that is mostly chemical monocultures with some really great small organic farms throughout.

I was first introduced to permaculture during a lecture by Bruno Brosari, my academic adviser and biology/ecology professor. From there I attended an hour long power point hosted at the Frozen River Film Festival, and got connected to some people doing projects in the area. Then in the summer of 2011, I took a Sustainable Design and Construction course and a Permaculture Design Certification course with Kay Cafasso at Sirius Community, an aspiring ecovillage in Shutesbury, Massachusetts.

My current activities are mostly fantasies, reading more books, and plans for the future; I would love to network with people in the upper midwest to put all this new knowledge to good use!
