Ozlem Gurtunca has a professional background in industrial product design. She works as a research assistant at Isik University in Department of Industrial Design. She works on sustainability. Excessiveness of production and consumption and relationship between these and industrial design directed her to sustainability research and she came across permaculture during her researches. She attended a PRI (Permaculture Research Institute) Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course, instructed by Iraz Candaş and Mustafa F. Bakır, with the organization of PRI Turkey on July 2018. She is enthusiastic about working as a permaculture designer and continuing other educations on permaculture.
