I am a practicing permaculturist of five years, but first and foremost, I am an artist. I have been an artist my whole life, mainly as a painter and sculpturist. And when I learned (and continue to learn) permaculture, I view that as an art form as well. I specialize in creating majestic beauty out of a natural landscape, increasing the biodiversity and utility as well.
I obtained my PDC from the Regenerative Leadership Institute in Stanford, California in 2013, and later became a student, chef, and groundskeeper at Aprovecho Sustainability and Education Center in Cottage Grove, Oregon for two years. I graduated from an Individualized Study program at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont in 2017. For my senior study, I wrote a curriculum for Sacred Ecology. (I am currently seeking collaborators, editors and publishers to turn this essay into a book, so reach out to me if this calls you).
I have been working recently as a freelance permaculture consultant and landscaper in my home state of Texas, and decided that I want to join a team in a new setting. I am inspired by the work of large ecological restoration projects, and want to connect with a global community in the field of regenerative ecology, indigenous ecology, and sacred ecology—which is why I have joined the Permaculture Global community.
Since I am looking for a new place to work and call home, tell me if you know of any businesses, organizations or ecovillages that are in need of a new team member. I am a permaculture gardener, natural plasterer, natural builder, food forest manager, watershed restorer team member, chef, massage therapist, and muralist!
I am excited to meet collaborators, peers, and mentors on this platform, so message me and say hello. I want to hear about your ecovillage startup process, or your dreams of starting a permaculture village network.
