I am a permaculturist of 9 years, but first and foremost, I am an artist. I have been an artist my whole life, in many different mediums from the traditional to the experimental. And when I learned, and continue to learn permaculture, I view that as an art form as well. I specialize in creating majestic beauty out of a natural landscape, increasing the biodiversity and utility as well.
I obtained my PDC from the Regenerative Leadership Institute in Stanford, California in 2013, and later became a student, chef, and groundskeeper at Aprovecho Sustainability and Education Center in Cottage Grove, Oregon. I obtained my degree in Sacred Ecology in an Individualized Study program at Goddard College in 2017. For my senior study, I wrote a curriculum for Sacred Ecology, incorporating the practices I had gathered from my internships at permaculture farms, ecovillages, and being part of the environmental justice movement around all corners of the country in the 2010's.
I have been working recently as a freelance permaculture consultant and landscaper in my home state of Texas, and decided that I want to explore being a part of teams in other parts of the world working at the forefront of the global permaculture movement, working with native elders, indigenous groups, and food security. I am greatly inspired by the work of large ecological restoration projects, and want to connect with a larger community in the field of regenerative ecology, indigenous food systems, and earth-based spiritual traditions new and old—which is why I have joined the Permaculture Global community! If any of this resonates with you, don't hesitate to reach out and start a conversation.
I am a permaculture gardener, natural plasterer, natural builder, food forest manager, watershed restorer, chef, and muralist!
I am excited to meet collaborators, peers, and mentors on this platform, so message me and say hello. I want to hear about your ecovillage startup process, or your dreams of being a part of a collection of permaculture villages.
