(projects i'm involved in)
I have been in a long process of self-study combined with practical, hands-on urban gardening experience to re-skill myself for the times we now face. I have my PDC certification from an Advanced Online Certification program by Matt Powers (former Student of Geoff Lawton and pedagogical specialist). I am now myself specializing in the Soil Food Web approach by Dr. Elaine Ingham, and I am taking these skills onto the German scene as an American expat with humility.
I am starting with a Soil Food Web lab as I gain my certification as a SFW consultant, and in the mean time I will also start to build on the community knowledge here in my new local to spread Permaculture knowledge and skills.
I plan on putting my energy into helping German organic farms, and conventional farms looking to convert to organic/regenerative organic by helping them manage their ecological systems starting with the soil biology and working up from there. I would like to then specialize further into using these skills to take the next step towards more tree-based systems, as these are the most powerful and ecologically fitting systems (generally speaking) in my region for repairing the land and stabilizing the climate.
