My background is varied and although I am new to the concept of Permaculture, I feel I have known it all my life.
I grew up in a mixture of rural and urban areas in New Zealand, learning to grow food, raise animals and ride horses. I then trained and worked as a nurse in 2005, learning valuable communication, health, education and cooperation skills.
After coming to Brighton, I worked mostly in gardening and remembered how important nature is to me. I heard whispers of ''Permaculture'' among people and my curiosity overcame me and I started discovering permaculture was all around me. I stumbled upon a little permaculture workshop at an ''Eco Skills festival'' and was hooked.
Now it feels time to explore something I really resonate with, so I completed my Introduction to Permaculture Course in 2010, my PDC in April 2011 and now am about to launch into my Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design alongside a teacher training programme......
