My interest in gardening and Permaculture started as a 13-year-old after I harvested a mustard crop sown from a canister of seeds located in the kitchen spice rack. Ever since then I've been hooked. In 1997, I did a week's work experience at the PRI in Tyalgum and on an eco village near Byron Bay at age 15. After that I spent a lot of free time hanging out at a community garden where I gleaned most of my Permaculture knowledge.

I studied Landscape Architecture at uni, but my main inspiration for my work as a garden designer has come from observing my young children in the garden and designing our backyard to meet their needs for curious, creative and exploratory play.

I am currently trying to make a living in Sydney designing kids gardens which are edible, thus my website www.ediblekidsgardens.com.au
