I am a city girl transplanted to the back hollers of N.GA on the borders of TN. In another life I was a workshop facilitator and author in the field of relationships. My heart was calling me elsewhere as I felt the urge to 'go into the woods and write'.

I moved with my husband, a Montana country boy, to this area and together we realized that our mission was to learn the old timey ways and to grow food.

I found out about permaculture through Georgia Organics and I knew immediately that I had to be at the next PDC course. From there everything changed.

It is our aim to help form a coalition of local food forests in our area which is rural and inhabited by old time country folk. They grow food and know about sharing and we want to bring our knowledge to their expertise to provide free food for many generations to come. We are finding people with land and slowly working with them to encourage the beginnings of food forests.

As a writer, it is my personal mission to speak about permaculture wherever I can and to that end my facebook page is full of useful information on food and growing under the name SunnyEmbracePermacultureSoleil!
