I am currently a senior in highschool, 4.2 GPA

My dad became interested in the environmental movement several years ago; my mom taught me ornamental gardening. I really started becoming interested in the environment after reading Ishmael. The One Straw Revolution is my favorite book so far.

Last year I started a garden in the backyard, although not much will grow since there's not a lot of sun. I compost everything I can get my hands on. This spring I dug up part of the lawn and planted a mixture of seeds including wildflowers in the front yard. This fall I started a vegetable garden at my highschool with raised beds.

Next year I will study at the University of Georgia. I intend to study sustainable agriculture and major in ecology at the Odum School of Ecology. I might go WWOOFing in the summers if I can't find a paid position, or maybe intern at Koinonia Farms.
