Temporarily using blog to track updates. What we are doing. We have a 120 sq. ft. greenhouse with aquaponics garden, 110 gal, moving to 1800 gal within a few weeks. Currently only have goldfish until we work bugs out of system then hope to replace with eating fish. We are growing vegetables, lettuce, spinach and herbs. We have a medicinal herb garden. We have begun using edible landscaping around our house. As we replace plants and learn more about permaculture we are planning to that end. We have 16 free range chickens (yes we do live within city limits and a subdivision 2/3 acre). We have 3 fruit trees currently and are growing blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries. We have done all this as chemical free and organic as possible. We learn more about how to improves what we have every day. We just ordered urban permaculture DVD, and earlier this week ordered our vermiculture worms. We have followers who are friends and family and educate them whenever possible about permaculture. We gave starter vegetable plants we grew from seeds in the greenhouse, to those who were just starting out gardening. We would like to begin classes or some other educational program from what we have learned and share with others to spread the pest thing we have ever learned about. Are we doing everything right, per “the way” no, but we are learning what works for us, and learning from our mistakes and can educate people from our trials and errors
