Hello, my name is Chris! I am a former student of Agroecology & Entomology of the University of California Santa Cruz. I grew up in the wine growing regions of Solano and Calaveras counties in California. Apart from working on graduate research in applied biological control of vineyards, I have established an educational garden for my hometown elementary school and been active in the production, preparation, and promotion of local as well as sustainable agriculture in the beautiful town of Murphys, CA.
My interest in Permaculture developed naturally first as a student of Politics (understanding that moving forward the issues of where food comes from and how we produce it will be of paramount importance on all levels of our shared life experience as population increases and resources require better management strategies), then developing as a holistic approach to people's wellbeing with a special interest in furthering the prevalence of effective and healthy agricultural technologies in the form of local, organic, and sustainable cultural practices surrounding food production.
I am currently in search of people and projects in the San Francisco area which are in line with my objectives of creating an easy and exciting transition to alternative ways of participating in how food is grown and prepared by local communities. If you are a permaculture designer, a lover of good food, or just full of great ideas about how to create a world where we can all thrive please contact me and let's see what we can create together to better ourselves, our neighbors and the world we live in!
