The greening the desert video really got me started in learning about permaculture. I have always been interested in homesteading/self-sufficiency and permaculture looks like the way to do this going forward. Right now I'm looking to learn about my property and region and to develop it the best I can.

I currently have 10 acres in S.E. MI USA. It is well watered with a creek flowing through it and was part of an old farm that was divided up 30-40 years ago. Most of this land has lain fallow for the last 30+ years with about 2 acres being mowed. I have everything from a marsh to dry sandy soil.
