My background is 20 years in the farming business in Sask. Canada. Have always been interested in growing things.

Today...I live in Tamarindo Costa Rica on 35 acres of ocean view mountain ridge. A few years ago, I asked a friend on mine who lives here what tree I could plant that stayed green on year round and did not need a lot of water.

His answer was Neem "The Sacred Tree of India". Well, Ray actually had some mature trees ...so I collected the seeds in May. Today I have over 2,000 Neem planted on this property.

I also raise over 200 free range chickens, have 45 ducks, 6 resuce dogs, parrots, and 3 horses of which are rescues.

We compost everything. My friend Stefan has a goat farm and every 3 months, we pick up all the goat kaka.

In the valley that runs through the middle of the property , we used Brad Landcasters principles of Rainwater Harvesting for Drylands. Meaning, we put 2 check dams in to slow the water down coming off the mountain.

Goals for the future is for a unique wellness/sustainable resort with monolithic domes built on the mountain combined with a conference center.
