I work for the local council in Wollongong. I have a great symbiotic relationship with the local PDC teachers here in the 'Gong, whereby I run short introduction courses at the Botanic Gardens and then flow my group into a PDC course that is local. The idea is that this way we are reaching people who say "What is Permaculture". This way, people come for 5 weeks, we share knowledge, food and work together in the small permaculture garden. In the final week, we go for an excursion to other local permacultre gardens that they can join up with and they meet the local teachers here. I believe the simple act of sharing food really helps in the concept of creating community
