Currently I interested in establishing a beautiful environment. I would like to produce delicious food that can nourish my friends and family. I would also like to establish a system that can provide a yield over a long period of time without much work on my part. I am studying horticulture.
There are several projects in North Texas that I have contributed a bit of time or energy to but my primary focus is my direct community and household.
I am trying to get the climate of North Texas pinned down. Heat and wind seem to be the primary elements that need buffering and control. Using a mixture of Emilia Hazelip's synergistic agriculture, trellised grapes for shade and windbreaks and the right selection of fruit, nuts and berries for a heavy clay soil I hope to show the people around me what we can do on our own land.
With the help of some friends I am also attempting to propagate the stock I find to be successful to hand out.
