My primary background is in information technology, mostly in the corporate world but began teaching it full time as of 2010. Member of Transition Milwaukee, and an avid bicyclist.

My first official introduction to Permaculture was by Toby Hemenway, speaking in Milwaukee in January, 2011. The concepts had a big impact on me and made me realize that this is our post-carbon food plan.

I took a weekend design course in March, 2011 by Mark Shepard, followed by his PDC course in August, 2011. I've since taken another PDC course and one for teacher training. I'm not sure where this will ultimately lead me but I am planning to at least practice these principles in my own community.
