I am a 71 year old male who has moved around western Canada working as an electrician while observing our growing need for more energy as we overpopulate the planet. The first oil crisis in the 70's enticed me to start looking at alternative energies, so I joined the Lethbridge Solar Energy club. Then a diploma in Horticulture Technician at Malaspina College lead to a search for remote quiet living.
Always searching for better ways to do things lead to a new phase of my life having just completed Geoff Lawton's 2015 online course. I have already done major renovations to my own yard in Elphinstone, MB, CA with the goal of permanent culture and a self sustaining lifestyle. Having only been here for a year, I would like to make new friends with similar interests and dreams.
I will do consulting on an exchange basis as I need much material to complete my yard.
