I attended Geoff Lawton's first Online PDC. I am also a Founding member of PermaEthos and as such have taken their first PDC as well. My experience is so far limited to Urban/Suburban edible landscaping. These are areas that interest me as a self sufficiency student.
I found Permaculture through my studies of the current US food system and the unsustainability of it. My interest in food self sufficiency led me to food forests and then to Permaculture in general.
While my experience is limited, I've spent vast amounts of time studying. I'm currently "moving to freedom", as Jack Spirko would say, by travelling to various areas of the US to find the place I will call home. I will then begin building a permaculture style homestead that will support all the future generations of my family.
