Postcards that intend to make people independent, by starting to make bread, jam, a garden, or to collect rainwater.
I created the postcards below with the intention to share them among the society. They contain simple recipes to make bread or jam, or how to start a small vegetable garden, or even about the importance of using rainwater for WC or washing.
The idea behind it is that when people start making food by their own, they shall feel empowered to do more things, and also begin to ask themselves if they really need to get it all from the supermaket. Another idea is that people ask themselves what they eat. Do they know exactly what a bread bought in a shop contains? or a jam? And where do the vegetables come from? The last idea is to make people more independent: we are very dependent of the shops for our food, or of the water network to flush our WC, but what happens if it collapses? At least if people store flour and yeast, and know how to make bread, they won't starve. If the collect rainwater, they will be able to care for their hygiene.
I did this as my "Action Global Learning", related to my participation at the ASA Program.
