I was living in Medellín, surrounded by all the violence to nature and to each other of the city. Daily shootings, pollution, traffic, poverty, surrounded us and made me want to leave and give my baby the opportunity to be welcome to earth in a peaceful natural way.
Our friends Juan and Vanessa (all my love) had purchased a property at the margin of the Palomino river, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, 1.5 hour walk away from civilization in an indigenous reserve of the Kogi people, and gave us the priviledge to live there, do permaculture to the land and deliver our baby.
We had the amazing oportunity to start from scratch in nature, barefoot, gathering wood, drinking pure water. We became nature easily using permaculture principles that even the indigenous were amazed. Terraces, swales, natural building, flushcompost toilet, good cooking, solar panels and pottery are the skills we colearned with the land.
Also she and I received Adan, meaning earth, , and nurtured him as nature has intended to be done forever. No diapers, no bottle, no vaccines, no hospital trash. He is now 15 months old and is a healthy beautiful baby with a mission to help clean up the world.
