OK, since my last update - I have completed OPDC and started to consult / influence some friends. Once you complete your PDC everything regarding Permaculture seems to make sense, and you think anyone you tell about Permaculture will accept its simple and logical ideas. However, this is not the case. The amount of resistance is huge and it takes time and skill to present Permaculture in a way that makes people listen and interested to learn more.
While I am in the transition stage I am in the book reading mode. Reading Gary Nabhan's "Growing Food in a Hotter, Drier Land".
I also helped to set up an urban wicking bed mini-project for a relative of mine. We planted strawberies.
I have started a container garden at my place to get my one year old daughter started. She plated beens the other day. ))
I am relocating to UAE. My Permaculture project in Az. is going to be put on hold for now.
I am looking forward to meeting like-minded people in the UAE.
