As well as beavering away on the website, course details with the lead teacher, recent weeks have led to some other random things that needed doing.
Yesterday was a fallen tree that had rested up on the tree next to it, and that needed removing, looking like it was eyeing up the driveway to the school as a nice play to lay down. 75 children use that driveway on their way in & out of Mosaic school, so we had to take remedial measures!
Neil ordered Compost Teas by Eric Fisher for our Library here at Daruma, and that has turned up for me to get my teeth into. Looking forward to gleening some info from that.
Volunteers have been arriving & leaving as per usual - one of which was a teacher for Mosaic school - and that led to my discovery that both of my children had been particularly fond of her, enjoying the time she volunteered here as a teachers assistant. There were tears before bedtime! ;-)
The all-new chicken tractor is under construction, the Willmann Mark IV charcoal furnace has been busy producing things we can fire up a bbq with, and we had 7 or 8 of us in a cornfield for a day, making a fence out of recycled timbers & roofing to stop the neighbouring water buffalo from trampling & eating the rest of it.
More on the Daruma Facebook page.
