My first memories as a child in the 1960's are of harvesting fruits and vegetables with my grandpa and snapping green beans with my grandma. As a young adult I designed and installed landscapes in new suburbs springing up south of Seattle, WA.
Gardening is something I have done everywhere I have lived, but it wasn't until 2010 that I heard about permaculture and sustainable living principles from Jack Spirko and TSP. Since then I have designed and implemented 20 wood core beds on contour, dug a large pond, four swales and a smaller pond, started raising bees and chickens and planted dozens of berry bushes and fruit and nut trees. I plan on participating in Geoff Lawton's next online PDC.
