(projects i'm involved in)
I have dedicated my life to eliminating waste. Whether it was trying to reduce the number of steps to cut the lawn as a child, reduce the time it took a computer program to run as a software developer, or today, trying to create sustainable systems with less resources.
I purchased a VHS video of Bill Mollison perhaps in the 90's that peaked my interest and made me aware of permaculture. The one example that stuck out was concentraining rain water between the houses in a subdivision that allowed growing food in a very dry climate. Starting in late 2013 I began taking my first PDC and just started Geoff Lawton PDC
In 2009 I bought 2 acres of land with a 6,000 sqft building a few miles south of downtown Knoxville Tennessee. The building produces more energy that it uses. The plan is to have the land produce a surplus of food. I've been harvesting lettuce from my aquaponics system.
