Hi, I live on a tinny tropical island in the Golf of Thailand. It's mostly a touristic diving paradise and the local people are building a lot, cutting down many trees and creating a lot of damage to this beautiful island.
I hope with permaculture I can help some people understanding the importance of nature and sustainability. We have a lot of water problem (either too much or not enough) and soil erosion.
I work in reef conservation, protection and restoration and a lot of the reef problem come from the island with runoff water and grey, black water so there is not much point to restore the reef without doing anything on land. There is also a land conservation group with who I enjoy helping out.
If you're coming to Thailand and want to help out while being on a beautiful tropical island, send me a message and I can put you in contact with the land conservation group.
