I grew up in Western NY near Letchworth State Park. My love for nature was sparked at an early age. During college I lived right next to Chittenango Falls, NY. I spent several years working in a design office completing a variety of projects in the Building Industry...retail, restaurants, libraries, residences...

In 2007 I pulled out of the rat race and started a homesteading project with my partner. We have built our own Passive/Active Solar Off-the-grid home...still in progress! The first year that we had a shelter we started a half-acre garden. Year 2 we built a greenhouse and a chicken coop. This year we are working on orchards and we are hoping to get more in-depth into our permaculture projects, hopefully including a forest garden.

We live in a great community of self-sustainers. There are several projects that we hope to include on this profile to inspire others and get advice as we go!
