Born on a red dirt cotton farm in north Texas, I have been the Ranch Manager at QVR since 2000.

Tom Smith sold me on the idea of Pc at Quiet Valley Ranch. The idea of having a PDC combined with a work in progress to demonstrate Pc and show the participants and artists of the Kerrville Folk Festival a living example of sustainability to take home with them as part of their festival experience was his dream. Tom died the Monday before the first class in the Fall of 2003.

We have expanded "Kerrmaculture" to include many examples of natural building and green building thru the Natural Building Colloquium, again scheduled for Fall 2012. Our next PDC intensive will happen in late October of 2011 with an advanced, hands-on, professional, make-my-living-with-PC class to follow immediately using demonstrations of broadscale and human scale applications.
