Kirby Fry graduated from Texas A & M University in 1989 with a BS of Forestry Sciences. Served in the US Peace Corps Guatemala agroforestry program in 1990 and 1991. Worked as a crab observer on the Bering Sea for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game during the winters of 1991 and 1992.
Fry took three design courses with Bill Mollison, an earthworks course and an advanced teaching course with Bill Mollison in Glen Rose, Texas. He has been teaching and installing permaculture design for the past 20 years.
In Austin, Texas for the past 3 years Fry has been helping to install one permaculture design a month in the form of permablitzes, an all volunteer garden installation crew. Our September permablitz in Elgin, Texas built and planted and east facing sun trap garden with over 600 linear foot of berms and swales and over 50 fruit and farmers trees under drip irrigation.
