Born nature enthusiast, lifetime scholar, and seeker of truth, I grew up confused at the present state of society. I indulged in self study of subjects such as architecture, ecology, biology, and alternative health care. After much struggle in trying to cohere with the common pursuit of a career, I decided to focus on just doing what felt right.
I worked a few jobs that I liked, including CSA work and some landscaping jobs, all the while continuing self study that led me to discover the Permaculture movement. Desperate to get involved outside of my own application, I posted free help adds for any "sustainable" projects nearby. I was referred to the California Institute of Earth Art and Architecture, located in the next town over. It was like they were waiting for me. I signed up for their annual PDC taught by Bill and Becky Wilson of Midwest Permaculture.
After a year of internship at Cal-Earth, I am honored to be a part time instructor, part time designer there. I also work with a great crew of alumni on various outside projects for clients. I hope to inspire and contribute to as many as possible within my sphere of influence starting with my young son. I am open to aid work. My long term goal is to create a skills exchange center and CSA with my partner.
