(projects i'm involved in)
I am a credited architectural photographer with project awards from over 600 prior architectural design and construction firms. I know what makes for livable structures. In my teens I played in homes by Fay Jones FAIA* and often visited the workshops of 'uncle' Paul Klipsch. All due to my father, an electro-mechanical engineer who regularly spoke with guys like Tom Bearden.
After receiving my *CPD from Geoff Lawton* in 2017-18, I recognized my personal gifts to the Permaculture community would be centered on physical implementation; from critical key-line contouring to community planning with a personal focus on construction site-management and passive and active solar system design and integration.
Though many of my favorite architects stake their reputations on “sustainability,” none of my prior clients share even a passing interest in permaculture. They can't.
I earned a BFA in fine art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1976. My post graduate studies included “School Starter" Certificate course from AERO, two years of volunteer teaching in a food desert, and (5) five Continuing Ed. certificates in Building Sciences as an ancillary member of the AIA.
My interest in organic gardening began in in my teens when I did my first paid photo assignment for Rodale Press documenting my grandmother's garden at her 4-star Red Apple Inn, in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Our family has effectively practiced the Steiner method of soil propagation. (FYI, adding glacial till and minerals to your compost works miracously!
In 2019, I began a serious quest to buy a farm of my own in the Ozark Mountains. But the harder I searched, the more evident it became that the common premise of 'building communities' (read multi-family "boxes") has become wholly destructive to our cities and global culture itself.
As a program designer my goal is to help steer you and your team on a development path free of dreaded 'Type 1' errors. Prospective clients can phone me anytime for project support up to 9:00pm, CST, USA. 1+(501) 708-7668

Influencers, (in my words:)
Geoff Lawton- There's a big world of problems out there, give freely of your time to those willing to contribute through these proven means and it will all come back multiplied!
Sepp Holzer- Start the day with simple actions.
Morag Gamble- Integrate your thinking, listen, learn, teach!
Richard Foy, FAIA- "Approach every new job with the attitude that you don't know Jack! You'll be surprised at the value this brings to the project by way of teamwork!”
David Carson, FAIA- “Study every building the government commissions, most likely they have addressed every possible point of failure and maximized cost-efficiency."
Frank Lloyd Wright- "Man inhabits architecture, thereafter architecture inhabits man."
Though I'm not promoting my services as a 'certified' (AIA) architect, I have done a sufficient number of home renovations to qualify as a 'program design architect.' "Draftspersons" may take over from here.
