(projects i'm involved in)
I spent around 25 years campaigning for green causes. I was involved in green politics and spent 4 years as a green District Councillor. I have been a homoeopath and ran my own wholefood shop. More recently I established and ran for 8 years a community enterprise composting green waste, recycling timber and developed the UK's first licensed anaerobic digester to process kitchen waste.
I became interested in permaculture 5 years ago and incorporated these concepts into my gardening projects. The first of these was a community food-growing project in a 2 acre walled garden. I now manage a horticulture project involving people with learning problems. We have bult 2 60' polytunnels and created new terraces on the 7 acre site.
Apart from the above project I have a large home garden where I have implimented a number of permaculture principles. We are WWOOF hosts and run occasional permaculture and organic growing courss.
