In November ’10, during the PDC in Jordan, Geoff Lawton was talking about the’ generation of starvation’: ... ’The food is over, we are eating cats and dogs, then rats. Then we start eating people. That’s where we are going’... This is a very frightening scenario but, alas, equally probable. He then added: ..’Fear starts to dilute as you take action... with a little bit of courage’.
I envision an era in which art, science, philosophy and ancient wisdom will be incorporated into a single practice: the restoration of our natural legacy and our dignity as human beings.
I strongly believe that the rising of permaculture signals the beginning of this era and in its knowledge one can surely find the courage to take the challenge and become active.
