When I was young, my nickname was "nature-boy". I've always enjoyed the wilderness, and my favorite part of growing up was going to a camp in the Adirondacks where we would hike and fish and camp. I also grew up playing music, specifically trombone, and music has always been an important part of who I am.
My young love of nature led to my eventual decision to pursue a degree in landscape architecture with a minor in agroecology at Rutgers U, a decision that was largely influenced by my discovery of the design science known as permaculture. I discovered permaculture through my growing interest in sustainability upon the realization of the various ecological and environmental crises we as humans were experiencing and had ourselves created. The discovery of a positive way to design ourselves out of this mess was very encouraging indeed.
Currently, I am going to school in New Brunswick, NJ, living in Red Bank, NJ, and can frequently be found hanging around the Monmouth/Ocean county areas, designing and playing music, and would love to start a permaculture discussion/action group in any or all of these areas.
