Background: an organic gardener for over 45 years, past president of the Minnesota State Horticultural Society.
I was smitten with permaculture after seeing Goeff Lawton in the original Greening the Desert video years ago. I obtained my permaculture certification in 2012, in California with Starhawk.
In September of 2014 I organized a PDC certificate course on Vashon- offered on a gift basis. Instructors were Nick Tittle, Greg Crawford, and Michael Laurie.
Presently, I am practicing permaculture on a 3 1/2 acre property I own with my husband on Vashon Island, Washington. In addition, we are working to reduce pesticide use on Vashon and beyond, and I am offering my services as a gardener on Vashon.
The farmhouse will soon be ready to accept renters - each bedroom rented separately, building a community of permies and compassionate communication
I am helping to create a combination permaculture and Nonviolent communication retreat and training center here, on a beautiful property owned by the Dolstad family.
