Born and raised on a farm in the north of The netherlands.
My parents have a potato breeding company (www.dbiemondbv.nl) and i was their first human breed ;-) Growing up between potato, sugarbeet and wheat fields, i always lonf for space around me to express my self and search for silence.

I traveled a bit to see more of the world, this led me to living in Israel for 1 year (aug 98-aug99) and later doing an internship in Ethiopia (jul-nov 2003)

Since that i consider Ethiopia as my 2nd home the culture the people, the languages the food.. I want to start a project over there and started to plan bits and peaces of it. In my opnion Ethiopia could be the breadbasket (and more) of the whole horn of Africa, instead of hard work, lets work smart.
