I am just stepping on a journey to become what I have called (so far) an "urban druid". My background is in Social Media and I thought I was set to develop that as a career path but over the past few weeks I've been hearing the call of environmental steward. I am just beginning my study and well...it feels rather like destiny :)
Permaculture just recently (as of writing this 7-11-12) showed up on my radar while I was researching information about Earthship Biostructures and I came across Geoff Lawton's TED talk on a local blog.
My intentions for permaculture is to start something here in my hometown of Salt Lake City - and as a result be the first Permaculture project listed on this network, since I couldn't find any during a search for projects. Oh, as well as create a much more sustainable home space for my family - two aging parents whom I know I will need to care for as they get older.
