Edward Marshall runs the We Are All Farmers Permaculture Institute (a registered North Carolina non-profit) as a permaculture design instructor/consultant and food forest designer. A self-taught commercial organic farmer, Edward ran his own farm from 1992 - 2002 before organic hit big. Now back on this same land, he understands community is key to successful living and even more so to successful farming. Trained as a permaculture teacher & in food forestry (by folks trained by Geoff Lawton & Masanoba Fukuoka), he is committed to community in farming, farming for self-determination, regenerative agriculture, agroforestry & permaculture.

The We Are All Farmers Permaculture Institute focuses its mission on the Appalachian & Piedmont regions of the United States. Unique to the Appalachian-Piedmont, We Are All Farmers is committed to making permaculture affordable & accessible.

In addition to seeking to help people become more responsible for their food & seeking to bridge urban and farm, we welcome regional non-profits to host one of our three free workshops a year. We will also work with non-profit groups to get their constituents involved in permaculture.
