Port of Spain, TT
I discovered PC through my involvement with North American Bioregional Congresses since 1988. I was living in Toronto at the time and was inspired to return to my home watershed in St. Ann's, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. I co-founded the Fondes Amandes Community Reforestation Project with Akilah Jaramogi, implementing a bioregional vision using permaculture principles. I took my first PDC in 2005 with Doug Bullock and Chris Shanks at Finca Bona Fide, Ometepe Island, Nicaragua. In 2007 I invited Peter Bane to teach the first PDC in T&T at Wa Samaki Ecosystems, Freeport. I completed a third PDC in 2009 with Joel Glanzberg and John Nzira at Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre, Harare, Zimbabwe. I am a director, along with Erle Rahaman-Noronha, of Caribbean Permaculture Consultants Ltd.
