Seems so long since I first registered on this page.  I am now in my 50's and still crazy about permaculture, but still trying to switch completely from the old life to the new one I want to be in.  A mortgage will do that to you.  We've also had a few hurdles that life has thrown at us, that we have had to learn to carry (some things you do not get over), but we continue to head in the right direction and do what we can.  Currently I am obsessing about transforming the dam into a natural pond/fishing dam.  I think I have the design sorted, and worked out what resources will be needed.  It has been rather hot here and a swim would be wonderful!  I continue to love propagating plants and have a nursery full of plants that need to go into the ground, I have sold some and traded others for things I needed.  We still have chooks and cows, but the poor duck has passed - I still miss her. :(  Still thinking about pigs and sheep.  We continue to work on the food forest - yep I just need to plant all those plants from the nursery, and the vegie patch - husband's main focus.  My other main focus is planting many trees or all sorts (lots of natives) around the property.  Our other focus is to get some accommodation sorted out, so others can come and stay.
