I live in suburban/semi-rural New Jersey with my wife and two young children. Although my grandparents were farm children, I had no first hand experience growing up.
After getting married, we dreamed of getting a house with enough property to have a garden. All the research while house hunting lead me to permaculture where I was influenced by Geoff Lawton, Jack Spirko, Toby Hemenway, Paul Wheaton and Ben Falk and listen to them talk as much as possible.
I am a recent graduate of Geoff Lawton's first online PDC and am in the process of transforming my 2ac property. I am experimenting with swales, hugelkultur, chickens, compost and polyculture. I started my first small food forest this spring and hope to turn it into a design site where I can teach and spread the word about permaculture to my community.
