For most of my adult life I've worked in Human relations and Organisational Development
I've been gardening, building and designing renewable energy systems for many years and discovered Permaculture in the early eighties. I was attracted by the parallels to my own way of thinking and learned as much as I could about Permaculture ethics and principles before selling my company and leaving the UK to search for a piece of land where I could create a permaculture site. I travelled for a year to see and work in Permaculture sites in several different parts of the world.
Then more than 27 years ago, I started farming in France where my partner and I live and work with Permaculture every day. We've built an off-grid house, numerous buildings and shelters, created productive gardens and are surrounded by a wonderful network of neighbours and friends.

Permaculture is still very much in its infancy in France and we do our best to publicise its benefits by welcoming hundreds of visitors to our farm each year and contributing to the French speaking permaculture forum where I (hardworkinghippy) am an administrator.
