Brandy has a rich and diverse background in both Permaculture and Education, and brings forth a passion for Permaculture as a tool for planetary healing in this time of global transition, beginning with ourselves. She holds a Master’s in Contemplative Education from Naropa University, and has lived and taught on farms from Virginia to Nicaragua. Her thesis explored the interconnections of Permaculture, Nature Connection and Contemplative Practice as a tri-fold healing modality with both individual and global potential. In 2007, she co-created Belle Meade School, an experiential, integrative farm-based academic program for 6-10th graders located on 138-acres in Sperryville, VA. She has served as the Site and Education Director for the Ashevillage Institute in Asheville, NC, and also apprenticed with designer Ethan Roland of Appleseed Permaculture in New York, which refined her small business management and ecological design skills. She deepens her connection to the Earth through farming, building, designing, and educating since 2004.
