Father, Husband, Chef, Carpenter, Artist. That's how my resume might look. But you all know that's just the tip of the iceberg for all of us.
In January 2014 we bought our 92 acre piece of Earth. I am currently building the Fletchwitz Farm's farmhouse out of timbers. We also have a greenhouse barn lined up as well. We are remaining off grid and plan to raise livestock such as sheep, chickens, a pig or two and possibly other species too potentially using a silvopasture method using Holistic Management to organize our operations. This is the beginning of a lifetime project and I am growing into this lifestyle with increasing enthusiasm.
I learned permaculture through the Cornell University Extension but was unable to complete my PDC because I needed to start the house design and drawings. I have designed the house, and barn using sketchup 3D modelling and have started the master design for the property. It's a lot of fun to see these things transform and manifest from their virtual beginnings. I have an Instagram account that I encourage you to check out. PreservingEarth is what I go by and it's my business name. I look forward to meeting more sensible people here.
