I have been a qualified horticulturist and landscaper since 1998. Having worked in various countries throughout the world, beginning in my native South Africa, I became more interested in sustainable approaches to working with the environment. I discovered permaculture in 2008 and shortly afterwards began work on the La Loma Viva Permaculture project, of which I am co-founder and manager with my partner Karen.
I completed my PDC with Bill Mollison and Geoff Lawton in Istanbul in 2010. I am currently involved in all aspects of running and developing the farm according to permaculture principles and ethics. I completed an Earth Works course with Geoff Lawton in Morocco July 2012.
