I am a nurse who wants to live along permaculture principles, eventually buying land and building a house.

I come from a building family and have renovated a house in the past. I became interested in passive solar building design, which led on to permaculture. I spent 6 months wwoofing in NSW and have just moved to Lismore. I am also professionally interested in applying the principles of permaculture into community development.

I am in the process of moving and starting work in Lismore and intend to start growing vegetables and herbs in my garden. I also am developing my GIS skills to enable terrain mapping, vegetation, resource mapping etc. I am interested in home and garden automation and monitoring and intend to design and build a prototype array of wind speed / direction / temperature and humidity sensing units for analysing local weather and microclimate analysis.
