(projects i'm involved in)
I began practising permaculture in NYC around 2004. In 2008 did a PDC with Geoff Lawton following which I spent two years working on an established permaculture farm in my native Aotearoa.
In 2009 I began working with Haikai Tane studying the traditional farming techniques of the Asia-pacific region.
In 2010 I studied with natural farmers in Japan and spent time in a remote forest community in the Philippines.
I now live in Japan where I am establishing a forest garden with Asako Kitaori incorporating Fukuoka-style natural farming and the traditional terraquaculture approach of the Asia-pacific region.
