I grew up in the countryside of New South Wales. We grew food, had chooks, cows, horses and briefly goats too. When I finished school I fell in to work in wineries and it wasn't till I was 24 that I decided to leave the wine industry and follow my heart. I have always felt passionately about sustainability, nature and the healing powers of plants and foods, "you are what you eat"!
It was through my work with the Soil Association and time spent living in Auroville, India, that I was introduced to and inspired by permaculture.
I completed my PDC in January 2012 at the Permaculture Research Institute with a group of amazing people. It is where doors open and the realisation of potential becomes. Like digging into soil and seeing the life and activity going on underneath. I plan to travel and live within a number of different permaculture sites gaining as much experience and knowledge as I can. I want to learn more, educate and enthuse others about permaculture.
