I am a young person (23) in the process of figuring out how to live, looking for a right livelihood that aims towards what I hold dear and sacred, and what also matches my skills. So now I ended up in permaculture, which seems to me is a perfect system of thought and techniques to transform civilization to a state of a sane equilibrium.
I took a PDC in Nicaragua in February 2013, and I will be part of an internship at Valldaura Labs in Barcelona, where I will learn about apiculture, compost toilets, solar showers, forest gardens, strawbale, clayplasters, biointensive gardens, waster water treatment with reedbeds, and I will also take another PDC with Geoff Lawton.
At university I studied ecology for 5 semesters, but put in a break because I got fed up with the system and had an urge to travel and learn about other things (such as permaculture). Now that I come across so many bright ecologists such as Allan Savory I am inspired to continue studying ecology - so maybe I will return to university.
